This past weekend, Lleyton and I enjoyed four days together just the two of us. Kevin flew to Atlanta for his brother's surprise 40th birthday party and took Easton with him. At 14 months old, Easton still flies for free and since he had never been to Atlanta it was a great opportunity for him to meet family. Lleyton and I did something fun every day. We packed a lunch and spent a day at the zoo, stopping for ice cream before going home. We met some of my girlfriends for brunch in Seattle and ... continue reading...
Butternut Squash Frittata with Goat Cheese and Caramelized Onions
Oh how I love a good egg dish. We probably go through two dozen eggs a week in our house. I love to scramble them with spinach for breakfast for the boys, make fried egg sandwiches for lunch, or find a way to use them for a quick dinner. Frittatas are perfect for breakfast or brunch, but alongside a simple green salad, they also make a perfect dinner. Crock Pot BBQ Meatballs
When I perfected my homemade BBQ sauce recipe for these shrimp and grits, I couldn't stop talking about it. Right now, our kids are too young for school and thankfully it's not too difficult to ensure the boys are starting the day with something healthy. As the years fly by though, I'll be looking at busy mornings before school before I know it. Right now, I typically start the day with a smoothie. Kevin ... continue reading...
Blood Orange Ricotta Mini Loaves
Miniature food is just cuter, it's a fact. Top some these adorable little mini blood orange ricotta loaves with a bright pink icing? I'm sold! I absolutely love my mini loaf pan for breads like this. I picked it up at Home Goods a few years ago and it's definitely been used frequently. If you don't have one of these pans, I highly recommend adding one to your cabinets. But even if you don't have one and aren't constantly looking for the next thing to add to your kitchen (like me), you can ... continue reading...
