Hello hello it’s time for hot honey chicken bowls! This easy dinner is a breeze and comes together on two sheet pans and is a great meal prep lunch option. A great mix of protein, carbs, and veggies for a well-rounded meal that’s also budget friendly. The chicken thighs are juicy, the broccoli crisp tender and just a little charred, and the sweet potatoes perfectly browned. Another thing I like about this recipe is that sweet potatoes and broccoli both keep for a little while, especially sweet potatoes. Keep some boneless skinless chicken thighs in your freezer and you can make this easy dinner anytime you need something fast, healthy, and delicious. We also know that food in a bowl is just better! Cozy up on the couch and you can get a little bit of everything in each bite. I love a food in a bowl option like my gochujang salmon bowls or chicken gyro bowls.

Ingredients for Hot Honey Chicken Bowls
- Sweet potatoes
- Boneless skinless chicken thighs
- Broccoli
- Bacon
- Seasonings: salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and brown sugar
- Olive oil
- Hot honey or regular honey
- Red pepper flakes (optional)

How to Make Hot Honey Chicken Bowls
- Peel and chop the sweet potatoes and place them on a sheet pan.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel and spread on another sheet pan. Sometimes when you buy chicken thighs they are folded up, so be sure to unroll them so they are flat. Chop the bacon and add to the same pan as the chicken.
- Chop the broccoli and place in a bowl and set aside for now.
- Drizzle everything with olive oil and use your hands to toss to coat. Mix together all the seasonings and sprinkle a little bit over everything. Use your hands to toss to coat. Get everything covered! If you don’t have enough seasoning, focus on the chicken and sweet potatoes and just use salt and pepper for the broccoli.
- Place the sweet potatoes and the chicken in the oven. After 20 minutes, toss the sweet potatoes and add the broccoli to the pan.
- The chicken will take about 25 minutes to cook and the veggies will be done about 20 minutes. Assemble your bowls and drizzle with hot honey. Add extra red pepper flakes for extra heat!

Yummy! I will be making this. My question is this: is the bacon cooked when you put it on the chicken or raw?
I’m confused about cook time. The chicken will take way less time than the sweet potatoes.. right? Could you clarify the timing for everything?
