I’m so excited to be sharing this recipe because these chocolate brownie energy bites have become staples in our household. Like most people, when I get hungry between meals, I’m looking for something quick and delicious. If I don’t have something ready to go, I’m not immune to diving into a less healthy option. I always, always have some sort of energy bites or protein bites on hand. They give me a natural boost of energy but with their ingredients, they also fill me up. I’ll grab two of these in the morning on my way out the door if I had a light breakfast, or maybe one or two in the afternoon or evening with a cup of tea. But rarely a day goes by that I’m not enjoying one of these chocolate energy bites!
All you need to make these chocolate brownie energy bites is a food processor. I know that’s not an appliance that everyone has in the kitchen, but I haven’t tried these in a high speed blender and I’m not sure if they would work. I use my food processor multiple times a week so the appliance is definitely a workhorse in my home, but I understand that they may not be something that everyone has space for. Once you get your food processor out, the steps are simple!
How to Make Brownie Energy Bites
- Place your delicious ingredients in the food processor! First place walnuts, pepitas, rolled oats, cocoa powder, flaxseed meal, and mini chocolate chips in the food processor.
- Blend blend blend! These ingredients come together for the perfect texture.
- Add peanut butter and honey and blend again! The mixture will start to pull away from the sides of the food processor.
- Use your hands to form balls then place in an airtight container. The mixture will still seem fairly soft but the brownie bites will firm up nicely in the refrigerator after a few hours.
- Enjoy and repeat to keep your refrigerator stocked!
This is a healthy snack that’s kid-friendly too! Pack them into lunchboxes or take on the go, they’re a healthy and delicious treat that everyone will love.

I made these and they are so good! Thank you for posting! I subbed sunflower seeds for pepitas because that’s what I had on hand and we enjoyed them. Just added pepitas to the grocery list for the next batch.
