I used to be a bit skeptical of trying salad recipes that I found online or in cookbooks. Because it's salad! How hard can it be to chop up some vegetables and whip up a dressing? But I found that when I made salads, I used the same ingredients, the same dressing, and they got boring. Have you ever gone to a restaurant or ordered a takeout salad and it's absolutely delicious? We all have, and then maybe you think that you could whip it up at home. And you can! I have been to plenty of ... continue reading...
Chocolate-Dipped Almond Biscotti
We've all been invited over to the house of a friend of family member for a meal. Maybe it's dinner, lunch, or a casual brunch. And we've all been told, "no need to bring anything!" But obviously you can't go empty-handed. You can always go classic with a bottle of wine, but what if you want to do something different? One of my go-to's is a loaf of homemade bread and a jar of homemade jam that I keep in my pantry at all times, but not everyone is 29 going on 79 and spends their summers ... continue reading...
Chickpea Crunch Salad
Chickpea crunch salad is here for all your summer needs! I can't think of a summer meal that this wouldn't go perfectly with. Blueberry Lemon Bundt Cake
The perfect cake is here just in time for Mother's Day! This blueberry lemon bundt cake is delicious for brunch, dessert, or anytime. It can definitely pass as a coffee cake for the morning, but is delicious and sweet enough to enjoy for dessert too. Sounds like a win all around to me! This cake uses both butter and Greek yogurt. I love the flavor the Greek yogurt adds, and it lightens the cake up a little bit as compared to using all butter. Using both in coffee cakes has been my new ... continue reading...
Jalapeno Popper Wontons
Sometimes I get asked, "what is the most popular recipe that you make?" It depends on who I'm cooking for and what the occasion is, but I think the answer to the question is these jalapeno popper wontons. I've been making these for years, for every party, every event, everything that we host. They're great for a game day snack and I make them frequently during football season, but they are equally great for a summer BBQ or any get together. They aren't overly spicy and are the best combination ... continue reading...
