Sometimes when you want an evening cocktail you want something cozy and warm, and that’s where this warm pear cider comes in! It’s spiced and spiked with both vanilla vodka and pear liqueur for a delicious winter treat. You’re just four ingredients for just enjoying this yourself this weekend! Apple cider, maple syrup, vanilla vodka, and pear liqueur are warmed in a small saucepan and served in your favorite mug with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and a sprinkle of nutmeg for a cocktail that’s good enough to be dessert.
Pear liqueur is probably not an ingredient that most people keep on hand, but I think it’s worth it to have a few delicious and unique items to make some fun cocktails. For me, I always keep elderflower liqueur on hand to add to French 75’s, a favorite cocktail of mine. This is the spiced pear liqueur that I use in this warm pear cider, and it gives you the perfect pear flavor and amount of spice for a delicious drink.
This would be a great Christmas Eve cocktail to enjoy while you watch a Christmas movie. Or you could put it in a to-go mug as you walk around your neighborhood and look at Christmas lights. And because it’s great to enjoy all winter long, I say make this your nightcap on New Year’s Eve. But you don’t want to skimp on the whipped cream or caramel drizzle on top. That’s what takes this already delicious cocktail to the next level.
