There are a lot of things to love about living in the Pacific Northwest, but one of the things I love about the summers are the blackberry bushes that are everywhere! Picking blackberries can be dangerous business because of their gnarly thorns, but I think it's absolutely worth it to enjoy these delicious summer berries. In my lavender lemon scones post, I mentioned taking the boys on a daily walk where I can pick lavender. It's on this same walk route that I can pick ... continue reading...
Quinoa Stuffed Poblanos
I get love all the recipes that I test and post here, but this one made me especially excited. I've been making the "Mexican quinoa" filling for these poblanos for years. I generally have all the ingredients on hand for the filling in the pantry and can quickly whip it together for a dinner when I didn't have anything planned. The quinoa packs enough protein to fill you up and with a simple salad on the side you're sure to be satisfied. I knew that the quinoa would make a great filling ... continue reading...
Crockpot Mango Chicken Curry
I remember the first time I tried curry. I saw this recipe by one of my favorite bloggers and was intrigued, so I picked up some curry paste and coconut milk on my next grocery shopping trip. Now curry paste and coconut milk are staples in our house. I don't make curry too spicy so Lleyton will still eat it, but the flavor from the curry, coconut milk, fresh ginger, and garlic is amazing. Curry is so easy! And you all know how excited I get about easy, delicious dinners. This is the first ... continue reading...

The cute little plant I got at a local nursery quickly turned into a giant bush. There are probably some mojitos in my future. This lemonade is non-alcholic, but I have a feeling it would be delicious with some vodka or tequila added to it and topped with club soda. It's the most refreshing thing you ... continue reading...
Smoked Salmon Fettuccini
If there's one thing that I'm a fan of, it's easy dinners that taste way more complicated than they actually are. My shrimp pesto pasta is like that, and so is this smoked salmon fettuccini. This recipe has just eight ingredients, and that's including salt and pepper! I promise that if I can whip this up in about 20 minutes while both my kids were awake, you can get this on the table quickly too. Whether your curling up on the couch with a glass of wine to watch Netflix or sitting down to ... continue reading...
