This sparkling cherry cocktail is made in partnership with World Market. Thank you for supporting the brands that support For the Love of Gourmet.
Once we are past Halloween, it feels like we are in holiday mode! From Thanksgiving to Christmas to New Years, this chilly time of year just calls for comfort food, baked goods, and holiday cocktails. It’s also the time of year for entertaining. As the weather cools off and we welcome snow and rain, it’s also a great time to spend time indoors with those we love as we celebrate the end of a great year. This blood orange cherry cocktail is the perfect drink to add to any celebration. It tastes and looks fancy served in a pretty glass, but it’s really easy to make and you can easily make to serve for a crowd.
World Market is the perfect place to shop during the holiday season. From dishes to bakeware to food items to gifts, it’s a one-stop shop for all your holiday needs. World Market has the gorgeous classes that I’m using for this blood orange cherry cocktail, as well as the ingredients. You can find unique ingredients from around the world, like sparkling Italian wines, cherry syrup, and blood orange ginger beer, all used in this delicious holiday cocktail! I love browsing the aisles and finding other unique items that I can’t find anywhere else, like spaetzle and marzipan for our traditional German Christmas Eve, beautiful ornaments to hang on our Christmas tree, and fun candies and treats to add to our kids’ Christmas stockings.
The recipe below includes ingredients for a single serving of the cocktail, but it’s a recipe that you can easily make to serve a crowd. If you’re doing this, I like to serve the blood orange, vodka, cherry syrup base in a pitcher and people can add their sparkling Italian wine individually to their glasses as a floater to maintain the bubbles. The cherry syrup used in this recipe is unique and the perfect example of what you can find at World Market! It adds excellent cherry flavor and is available online if you don’t have a World Market store near you. The blood orange ginger beer is also available at World Market, but you can use regular ginger beer if you can’t find it! I love the special Christmas Italian wine they sell there as well for this recipe, but another sparkling white wine or champagne will do in a pinch. Whether you enjoy this cocktail recipe for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, or anytime during this holiday season, I hope you enjoy it and enjoy your shopping at World Market!
