I love cornmeal in baked goods. These raspberry lemon cornmeal loaves were one of my first recipes on the blog, but they are still one of my favorites. When I realized I hadn't included a baked good with cornmeal in it since then, I knew it was time to bring you something else. Cornmeal adds such a great texture and flavor to these sweet potato cornmeal muffins. I also love how they toe the line between sweet and savory. They belong at your summer BBQ just as much as they belong on your ... continue reading...
Cheesecake Fruit Tart
I don't know what it is about tarts, but I can't get enough of them. Ever since I got a tart pan for Christmas this past year, I've been very into tart recipes of all types. You can fill a tart shell with chocolate, pudding, or a creamy cheesecake filling topped with berries like I did here. I have mentioned on the blog before that pies are my nemesis. While I enjoy eating them, I do not enjoy making them, especially the pie crust. No matter what I try, it's never perfect. Tarts seem like an ... continue reading...
Sausage and Orzo Stuffed Peppers
I've been asked before if there are any foods that I don't like, and the truth is that I love everything! Also, Easton turns 2 in December, which means we will need to start buying a plane ticket for him when we travel. Lleyton got to experience the ocean for the first time on a trip to Destin, Florida when he was about the age Easton is now, so we knew it would be the perfect age to take him to the ... continue reading...
Quinoa Tabbouleh Salad

This Middle Eastern dish is one of our favorites to enjoy for lunch, but we also love it as a side dish or salad in the summer with some grilled meat for a simple dinner. Traditional tabbouleh uses bulgur as a grain, or occasionally couscous, but I like using quinoa because it packs a protein punch and makes it a ... continue reading...
