It's been a while since I've had a blog post up! Last month we were blessed to welcome our fourth child and second daughter, Aurora Marie. She is such a sweet baby and we are all obsessed with our now six week old baby girl. I love having four kids even though it is so busy, and I can't believe we have two boys and two girls! Arugula Salad with Figs and Goat Cheese
This salad is proof that simple is sometimes just better. An arugula salad with fresh figs, goat cheese, and a simple balsamic dressing is a perfect way to close out the summer and welcome in fall. One of my favorite meals to enjoy in the fall is a grilled protein with a big salad on the side. You could even add grilled chicken, pork, or shrimp skewers to this salad and have a perfect meal. Lemon Herb Goat Cheese
My favorite easy appetizer is a big cheese board. Add in some crackers, fruit, nuts, and maybe some salami and you've got a snacking board that everyone will love. The only danger is filling up on your cheese board before a big meal! Sometimes I serve "snack dinner" and we enjoy a big cheese and meat platter, open a bottle of wine, and enjoy a sunny weekend. Watermelon Frose
Can you believe that it's already Labor Day weekend? In this weird year that we've been having, time seems to move quickly and slowly at the same time. Blueberry Cardamom Ricotta Bread
Earlier this summer I took the kids blueberry picking. They're probably the easiest berries for my kids to pick based on the height of the bushes and how easily the blueberries can be pulled off, but because Juliette and Lleyton both love blueberries, not many (maybe not any) of the blueberries that they they picked made it home.
