Salted Caramel Panettone Bread Pudding

This salted caramel panettone bread pudding is made in partnership with World Market. Thank you for supporting the brands that support For the Love of Gourmet.

Salted Caramel Panettone Bread Pudding

What a fun time of year this always is! I love the food and traditions that surround Thanksgiving and Christmas and it’s just a fun and festive time of year. Thankfully, World Market has everything to meet your holiday needs. From food to decor to kitchen items, it’s a one stop shop. On top of that, there are many great ideas for gifts for others, whether you need a Christmas gift for that hard-to-shop-for person or a hostess gift before you attend your neighbor’s Friendsgiving feast. One holiday treat that you see on many tables is panettone, an Italian sweet bread. It’s delicious all by itself but turned into a salted caramel bread pudding it’s absolutely irresistible. When you’re making this bread pudding at home, you can find your ingredients, bakeware, dishes for serving, and more all at World Market.

Salted Caramel Panettone Bread Pudding

I love bread pudding because it’s so easy to make and such a crowd-pleaser. Sprinkled with powdered sugar and drizzled with plenty of salted caramel, I like to serve it with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream for a dessert that hits just right. The flavors in the panettone are already perfect for the holidays, but adding in warm spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves make it even more festive.

How to Make Panettone Bread Pudding:

  • First, cube up the entire loaf of panettone and place it in a large baking dish. Sneak a bite or two for yourself, I know you want to.
  • Next, whisk together your milk, eggs, spices, extracts, and sugars. The spices are so warm and will remind you of a pumpkin bread or gingerbread with their flavors. We’re also using both brown sugar and granulated sugar for sweetness and to give a perfect caramelized flavor. Vanilla extract is essential in just about every baked good, but a hint of almond extract gives the perfect nuttiness to the dish. Almond extract is my secret weapon ingredient in many baked goods. It takes them from “this is good,” to “wow this is amazing.” Pour over the baking dish and mix to combine.
  • Bake in the oven until the bread pudding is fully set, then top with powdered sugar and salted caramel. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Salted Caramel Panettone Bread Pudding

Whether you make this for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or anything in between this holiday season, this bread pudding recipe is an easy dessert that’s perfect for this time of year. Be sure to stop by World Market for all your holiday needs and if you don’t have time to shop in the store, they have a great selection online! Even before partnering with World Market for this post, I have always loved their products and been impressed with their customer service when I’ve reached out to them. I hope you enjoy this recipe and another one coming next week also in partnership with them! In case you missed my first recipe in partnership with World Market, you can find my Halloween spider brownies linked here.

Oh hey friends I’m still here!! We are still in fu Oh hey friends I’m still here!! We are still in full on summer mode for another month so the recipe testing and photography has been minimal and the fun has been maximal. 🎉 38! 🎉 I can’t think of a better way to spend my 🎉 38! 🎉 I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than a morning in the mountains with some of my favorite people. I think we all know how hard it can be to find time to spend with friends, and how rare those true friendships are. I am so grateful for a group of women who said yes to a mountain adventure to celebrate me, even when I took a wrong turn and we added on 3 miles to the hike. Friendships like this are gold and I do not take them for granted. The day was filled with laughs, good conversation, not enough water, and plenty of ice cream. And the day started with a run with my best friend and a fancy coffee-working hard and resting hard is my love language. Happy to be home for the evening with freshly showered kids, a husband who made sure I was spoiled, takeout sushi, my favorite chocolate cake, and movie night. The greatest birthday gift is to have people who love me this dearly. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and to the special people who joined me today. I love you all! Cheers to another year 💛.
Last week I ran the Devil’s Gulch 50 Miler. I went Last week I ran the Devil’s Gulch 50 Miler. I went into hoping for a repeat strong performance after my last race, but even a week later I look back on this race and I’m a bit disappointed. The whole race I battled nausea that made it difficult to fuel, and ultimately the entire day felt like a struggle. An early fall had me dealing with knee pain all day and I kept hoping that digging deeper would lead to a faster finish but the reality is that next gear never came. Normally I can take pride in being able to push myself harder, but it just wasn’t the day for me. Thank you @evergreentrail a well-organized day with sweeping mountain views and challenging me in a big way. Walking away with a fourth place finish and a lot of lessons learned with a deep hunger to work harder next time ⛰️.
