It’s cocktail Friday! And this is both an easy and delicious one. Strawberry lemonade is such a classic summer drink, and making a boozy version just seemed like a good idea. You can’t beat putting summer’s fresh, sweet strawberries in a delicious cocktail. Add in some freshly squeezed lemon juice, a little vodka, and some simple syrup and your cocktail is made. Add a little sprig of mint for garnish, a lemon wedge, and a few strawberry slices and you’ve got the perfect summer drink.
I used vodka in this boozy strawberry lemonade recipe, but you could also use tequila for a bit of a strawberry and lemon margarita vibe. Just four ingredients in this easy cocktail recipe, and it’s easy to double, triple, or make a whole pitcher. My recipe notes below include quantities for both a single and a pitcher, depending on how many people you’re serving! It’s a great cocktail to make a large batch of to serve a crowd!
This strawberry lemonade is simply refreshing. It’s the right mix of tart and sweet, and it’s definitely a cocktail that you can sip all summer long. If you’re craving it when you can’t get fresh strawberries anymore, frozen and thawed strawberries will also work. Don’t skimp on the lemon juice! My rule with cocktails is to always use fresh lemon and lime juice in the recipe. For margaritas? Always fresh lime juice, never a mix. French 75’s? Always fresh lemon juice. It truly makes such a difference! If you need to juice a lot of citrus for a drink, like for a whole pitcher of this strawberry lemonade, I love using this juicer. It’s reasonably priced and an absolute must anytime you’re making anything that requires a lot of lemon or lime juice. I hope you enjoy this refreshing cocktail!
