Before you begin your ice cream making process, make sure your freezer bowl for the ice cream maker is frozen solid.
Whisk together cream, milk, sugar, salt, cocoa powder, and peppermint extract. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully chilled.
Transfer the mixture to the ice cream maker and turn it on. When your desired texture is reached (after about 10 minutes), transfer the ice cream to a freezer safe container and freeze until solid.
