Salted Caramel Pretzel Chip Ice Cream

Ingredients
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
  1. Ensure freezer bowl for ice cream maker is frozen solid. Leave in freezer until ready for use.
  2. Whisk together cream, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Refrigerate for at least two hours or overnight.
  3. Place cream mixture in ice cream maker and mix according to ice cream maker instructions. For my ice cream maker, listed in the notes above, this takes 20 minutes.
  4. Fold in pretzels and chocolate chips. You may need to do this in a separate bowl depending on your ice cream maker capacity.
  5. Fold in salted caramel sauce.
  6. For a soft serve type consistency, you can enjoy this ice cream right away. For a more solid ice cream, transfer to a container and freeze until ready to serve. Let sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping.
