Pesto Cheese Bread

Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh basil
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 3 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place basil, almonds, garlic, parmesan cheese, and olive oil in a food processor. Taste and add salt and pepper as desired.
  3. Cut the loaf of bread. As seen in the photos above, you can cut the bread in half lengthwise and then cut into pieces, or cut it into rounds.
  4. Brush the bread with melted butter. Spread with pesto and then top with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is toasty and golden brown.
  6. Serve immediately, enjoy!
