This stuffed skillet chocolate chip cookie is the perfect 30-minute dessert for everyone to enjoy!
Ingredients
8 tbsp. butter
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
1½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup chocolate chips
¾ cup Nutella
Vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. and get a small saucepan out to brown your butter. Butter can go from browned to burned quickly so keep an eye on it! Regular melted butter will work as well but the browned butter adds delicious caramelly notes.
To a stand mixer add your melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar and mix until blended. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat again.
Add the baking soda and salt and mix to combine, then add the flour and mix until the dough comes together!
Finally add your chocolate chips and mix to combine.
Spray a 6-inch skillet with nonstick cooking spray and press half the dough into the bottom. Spread the Nutella over the cookie dough, then top with the remaining cookie dough and carefully press down.
Bake for 15-18 minutes and serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream!
Enjoy!
