Serves: 6-8 servings

Ingredients
  • 7-8 pears, cored and sliced (peeling is optional)
  • 1½ cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1½ tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ¾ cup melted and browned butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup salted caramel sauce
  • Flakey sea salt for topping
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for topping
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place the sliced pears in a baking dish. I used an 8 x 12 baking dish but you can also use a round or oval baking dish of an equivalent size.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the browned butter and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Add the topping to the pears in the baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the pears are warm and bubbling.
  5. Top with the salted caramel sauce and serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Serve with your favorite Erath wine.
  6. Enjoy!
