Whole Wheat Applesauce Bread

Ingredients
  • ½ cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • 1⅓ cups unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Using a stand mixer, beat oil and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition until fluffy.
  3. Add vanilla, milk, and applesauce, beat again.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda.
  5. Add dry ingredients gradually to wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and pour in batter.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
